I decided to
change to Module 2. I get to learn a
very new subject which is Computer Science. Well it is a subject that you will
become closer to the computer. You will know the components of the computer in
details,the coding system use in computer,how computer really works and many
more. The terms use in Computer Science are understandable compared to Biology.
It uses simple English. And most of the students say that it is an easy subject
to get an A. But you still need to study and focus in the lecture.
I really
enjoy learning Computer Science. You will feel like you are becoming a computer
expect. For example,I had never knew the components of motherboard and the
function of it. And now I know and I can describe the hardware and software of
a computer.
My lecturer
is not just teaching depends on syllabus and learning outcomes. But he also
provides with good and new information about the current technology. He relates
to everything in his teaching. It’s a good technique to attract students to
listen to his lecture.
There are
some subtopics that I need to recall back my SPM. In Chapter 2,I learnt back
about the numbering system in computer. Do you still remember about changing
the base 10 to base 2? Base 5 to base 8? Yes,that’s the topic. But in computer
science, we learn simple ways to calculate from base 16 to base 2 or vice
versa. I also get to recall the logic
circuit. During SPM,we learn logic gate/circuit in Physics. Now it becomes more
in details. The logic gate becomes more complicated. Well,nothing becomes
easier in studying.
They say
that Computer Science gets harder in second semester. I believe that it is no
problem as long as I keep on studying and revising. Determination is the key of
success. My lecturer always say, don’t block your mind by saying it is hard.
Love the
subject first,it will become easier to understand. Believe me.
